I'm not afraid now

I don't know about you but we are always being warned by the Republicans to be afraid. If we put a Democrat into the White House we will be attacked, If we choose Obama we are told they will swiftboat him.  Well we can see through these lies after eight years. Thank God for evolution after eight years of lies and killing we are immune to the fear. Thank you George W Bush we can see clearly now. You and your party used September 11th for your own selfish reasons and kept us scared long enough to put us and Iraqi people through hell. Well the only thing we fear now is another Republican administration and Thank God those days are numbered. So please don't try and use fear in your argument because it won't work any more. I've replaced my fear with hope and belief in my fellow man. Let's come together and make the U.S. the envy of the world. Let's put a Democrat in the White House and change the world.

I stopped being scared and started being mad (2.00 / 2)

Almost immediately.  Shortly after 9-11 there were some news stories about these little tiny towns in middle America.  The residents were talking about how they were terrified that the terrorists would bomb their town.

Although I suppose it could happen, I started to wonder why these people were so scared of something that was so statistically remote.  They had a better chance of getting murdered by a robber, or killed in a car crash.

The more I thought about it, the madder I got, because someone was whipping them up to that kind of fear.

I'll get flamed for quoting him, but... (2.00 / 4)

We will not fear any longer. We will not fear the international terrorists; we will thwart them. We will not fear the recognition of the manipulation of our yearning for safety; we will call that what it is: terrorism. We will not fear identifying the vulgar hypocrites in our government; we will name them. And we will not fear George W. Bush, nor will we fear because George W. Bush wants us to fear. -- Keith Olbermann

I`ll see your Keith Olbermann and raise you a Sir Winston Churchill...

One ought never to turn one's back on a threatened danger and try to run away from it. If you do that, you will double the danger. But if you meet it promptly and without flinching, you will reduce the danger by half.

Democrats are finding their spine. It's a beautiful thing.

John McCain hates terrorists, except the ones that hate women. Those are just swell.
